I Lost My Heart To You…

Its been over a year that i have been here in Kuwait, and like a lot of other goans who are away from home, am missing Goa a lot. All Goans will surely agree that theres no other place like Goa anywhere in the world, after all… Home is where the heart is…

Even when i was in Goa, i always had this inclination to listen to old konkani music. When i was a kid (many may relate to this) we would switch on the radio on sunday evenings and listen to the lovely konkani songs and the Tiatrs (Konkani plays) and at the end of it all i would give my performance and  entertain the entire family. Over the years I lost touch with these songs that were close to my heart , the radio was substituted with the television. Newer media overtook the minds of people in an ever/rapid changing world…till some years ago when memories of the days gone by floated back and i tried looking for those songs, but to no avail.

Recently a very kind person, took the trouble of uploading some very old nostalgic songs, taken from movies like Nirmonn and Amchem Noxib on to YouTube and my joy knew no bounds. One song that totally captured my heart was “I lost my heart to you” from the movie “Amchem Noxib”, it was a total nostagic moment for me, complete with all the goosebump effects. Both these movies are available in Goa and i cant wait to go back home and purchase my copies.

Thank you Mr. Joe – all the trouble you’ve taken is highly appreciated.
